Meet Our Assistant Principal
Brandon Freer
Hello Bobcat Families,
I am thrilled to be your Assistant Principal at Hattie Dyer Elementary for the upcoming school year. My journey with Krum ISD spans seven years, and I bring nine years of educational experience to this role. Previously, I began my Krum ISD career at Dodd Elementary teaching 4th grade math and science, followed by instructing 7th and 8th grade math, science, and history at the KMS. Additionally, I also had the privilege of coaching football, basketball, and track in the role of Middle School Coach.
My academic background includes a bachelor’s degree in Biology from Dallas Baptist University and a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Texas Arlington.
Outside of school, I am blessed with a wonderful wife, Kara, and two amazing children, Brayden (13) and Eastyn (8). We cherish family time and share a love for sports, fishing, kayaking, and various outdoor activities. Volunteering in the community, especially with KYSA, is also a passion of mine.
I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to continue my career in education at Hattie Dyer Elementary. I eagerly anticipate forming strong relationships with our students and their families, while providing support to our dedicated teachers. I am excited to meet each of you and foresee an exceptional school year ahead. Go Bobcats!
