Meet Our Assistant Principal

Macy Faught

Hi everyone!

Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year! 

I am thrilled to be entering year number 5 as Assistant Principal at Hattie Dyer Elementary. I look forward to building relationships with our students and their families. I am very proud to say that I am a native of Krum and attended KISD from Kindergarten to 12th grade! I love this town and I know personally that it is a great school district. 

I hold a bachelor's degree from Texas Woman's University in Interdisciplinary Studies, as well as a Master's degree from Texas Woman's University in Educational Administration. I spent 5 years at EEC teaching Kindergarten and First Grade. I taught Second Grade for two years at Dyer, before becoming the Assistant Principal. I am married to my best friend, Alex, and we have two boys, Carter & Cal. In my free time, I love to spend time with my family, play sports, and do pretty much anything outside. I also work closely with the Krum Education Foundation and love to participate in any district tournaments for fundraisers!

I am so grateful to have a job doing what I love and I feel that I am lucky to be one of those people who loves coming to work every day. I cannot wait to build a relationship with your child. I strongly believe that the relationship between a parent and their child's school is vital to the success of your child. Please do not hesitate to contact me at any time.
