Meet Our Principal
Welcome back to the 2022-23 school year at Hattie Dyer Elementary!
I am thrilled to be welcoming you back to what is sure to be another great school year! My name is Lindsey Boone, and I began my teaching career in Krum 18 years ago. This will be my eighth year as the principal at Dyer Elementary. Before my current position, I was the school counselor at Dyer (and the EEC) for several years and had the pleasure of teaching in our district before that. I am so humbled to be the principal of such a wonderful school! My husband and I moved our family to Krum in 2007 and have loved every minute of what this town has brought into our lives. We have three sons who are recent Krum graduates, and were very active in Krum ISD sports and activities! I share this with you because I believe it's important for you to know that I have a great deal of Bobcat pride running through my heart and soul. We are true believers in Krum ISD, its students, their families, and the community that surrounds it!
It is an absolute honor to be a part of your child's education. We believe a critical component to each child's success is partnering with their families. Not only are we committed to partnering with you, but our doors are always open for you join us at school. You will find many opportunities to get involved throughout the year. We have a phenomenal Parent Teacher Organization (PTO)! They are eager to have new volunteers throughout the year. Another one of our many volunteer opportunities is for fathers and father figures through our Watch DOGS program. For more information on this, please contact our school counselor.

You will find that the staff at Dyer Elementary is a group of educators who have a deeply rooted passion for children and providing them with unique and quality learning experiences. We are committed to educating the whole child; recognizing that school is not only a place that fosters academic success, but also focuses on each child's physical, social, and emotional needs.
