Meet Our Principal

Macy Faught

Hello there!

I am thrilled and honored to serve as the Principal at Hattie Dyer Elementary School! This campus (and the people within it) hold such a special place in my heart. I am eager to continue building upon the strong relationships I have with our students, families, and staff.

As a native of Krum and a proud product of Krum ISD from Kindergarten through graduation, I have a deep appreciation for our community and its values. I hold a bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and a Master's degree in Educational Administration, both from Texas Woman's University. My educational journey includes years of teaching at both the primary and elementary levels before transitioning into administration.

Outside of school, I treasure spending time with my family—my husband Alex, and our two boys, Carter & Cal. I am passionate about sports, traveling with my family, playing outside, and actively supporting our Krum Bobcats, as well as our Krum Education Foundation.

I firmly believe that education thrives on collaboration between educators, families, and the broader community. Together, we can inspire our students to discover their passions, achieve their goals, and become responsible citizens. My door is always open, and I value your thoughts, ideas, and feedback as we work together to provide the best possible educational experience for our students.

I am grateful to serve in a role that aligns with my passion for education, and I am genuinely excited to come to work every day.
